A special thanks to Ben Meloche, a regular reader on Ya! The Habs Rule! and commenter on HabsInsideOut.com for submitting this.
Ben was fortunate to attend the ‘79 New Year’s Eve rematch between the Montreal Canadiens and Russia’s Central Red Army.
He got himself a new scanner for Christmas, and was courteous enough to break it in by scanning a large portion of the program he had, and send me the images.
There are 36 pages in all, and that’s just the hockey related portions.
I have added some of the key ones, including this old Chevy Monte Carlo ad, and a story on player/coaching legend Toe Blake.

Having witnessed the 7-3 drubbing by the Soviets over Team Canada in 1972 1st hand in the Forum, I loved watching the Habs in '75 and '79 play the Red Army team....great memories!
